While attending Stanford University, I have a lot of experience with design thinking. This is due to my design engineering background. It's important to not just teach students, but also understand the issues that they have with their own thinking process. When finding out how a student thinks, it's easier to understand what they're going through and it's easier to help. I sometimes need to reverse the roles and see how a student would teach the subject matter to me. I can then better understand where their struggles lie and how they're thinking their way through the problem. When I'm not working as a tutor, I like to spend time coaching cross country and track team members. I like to bring excitement and enthusiasm to the student athletes that I work with. I also am an enthusiastic teacher and I like to get students excited to learn. I'm ready to help more students have success in the classroom and on their tests. I like to hike, run, and play guitar. I also enjoy reading.I can help with many subjects. This includes geometry, reading, writing, and algebra. I can also help students learn more study and test prep skills so they have better results!
